Urgent Action Needed to Protect Human Services for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities

To Our Valued Employees,

We are reaching out to you with an urgent call to action. Our agency has been dedicated to serving individuals with intellectual disabilities for years, providing essential services such as behavioral support, nursing care, residential and vocational programs,  and transportation, and working closely with families in the IHS and CCH programs to ensure their loved ones receive the care they deserve. However, we are now facing a crisis that threatens the very foundation of our mission.

After more than a decade of underfunding in human services, along with reductions in federal support, we are at risk of experiencing devastating cuts—particularly to Medicaid services. These cuts would severely impact the individuals and families who rely on our care, limiting their access to the essential support they need to live dignified and fulfilling lives.

We cannot allow these reductions to move forward unchecked. Our vulnerable population depends on us, and we must stand together to protect their rights and well-being. As dedicated employees, you see firsthand the importance of our work and the impact it has on those we serve. That is why we are urging you to take action.

Here’s how you can help now:

Contact your local and state representatives and legislators. Urge them to oppose funding cuts to human services. The link is below!

Every voice matters. If we stand together, we can make a difference and ensure that our services remain available for those who need them the most. Please join us in this critical effort to protect the future of human services.

Thank you for your commitment and dedication.

Sincerely,

Liz Aslanidis
