Our Story

1998
NNOVATIVE CHILDREN'S ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES, INC. (I.C.E.S. Inc.) a non-profit organization, was founded in Chet’s dining room. The organization is dedicated to offering In-Home Support (IHS) services, respite care, clinical services, and Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF) support for children and families in need in the Waterbury, CT area.
2002
ICES, INC. was established, with services offered through Innovative Children’s Environmental Services, Inc. now being offered under this new agency, in the Waterbury, CT area. Services also expanded to include Vocational Services program, providing career development and employment opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities and those on the autism spectrum, as well as expanding our clinical services to include psychiatric services/medication management.
ICES, Inc. received its first master contract from the State of Connecticut Department of Developmental Services, providing Residential Services in four Community Living Arrangement (CLA) group homes.
2003
Connecticut Transportation Solutions, LLC (CTS) was established in Chet’s basement with a fleet of three vehicles and a team of five employees, with a goal of providing transportation services to Board of Education and school districts, the Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF), and private customers.
2004
Connecticut Transportation Solutions, LLC (CTS) is awarded its first Board of Education contract for the town of New Milford, CT.
2006
Connecticut Transportation Solutions, LLC (CTS) expands its DCF transport services, prompting the company to hire additional team members and acquire more vehicles. Additionally, CTS relocates from Chet’s basement to an office trailer in Thomaston, CT.
2009
ICES, Inc. establishes a dedicated administrative office in Naugatuck, CT to accommodate the agency's and company's continued growth.
2013
ICES, Inc. Vocational Services Program and Connecticut Transportation Solutions, LLC expand to a second location in Bridgeport, CT.
ICES, Inc. began providing nursing services directly through our agency, instead of contracting with an outside agency. 
Connecticut Transportation Solutions, LLC is awarded its first private school transportation contract.
2015
The building at 440 Chase River Road was purchased, becoming the headquarters for Connecticut Transportation Solutions, LLC, our Fleet Center, and the ICES, Inc. Vocational Services Program.
2017
ICES, Inc. rebrands itself to We Do Life… Together (WDLT), introducing a new mission and vision statement alongside an updated website at www.wdlt.org.
Connecticut Transportation Solutions, LLC is rebranded with a new logo and website www.cttransportationsolutions.com
2018
The We Do Life… Together Vocational Services Program and Connecticut Transportation Solutions, LLC relocated their offices from Bridgeport, CT, to Trumbull, CT, allowing for an expansion of services offered.
2019
Connecticut Transportation Solutions, LLC (CTS) expands into summer camp transportation, keeping more team members working year-round.
2023
Purchased 25 Royal Crest Drive, Prospect, CT to expand our operations into affordable Assisted Senior Living Housing.
2024
Heartland at Prospect is established, the first assisted senior centric living facility with 45 apartments designed to serve the 55 snd older population.
Today
ICES, Inc. continues to grow its Residential and Clinical Services Programs, adding new group homes in the Waterbury, CT area.

Connecticut Transportation Solutions, LLC (CTS) continues to expand its operations with over 30 Board of Education contracts, DCF work, private customers and schools, as well as summer camps.
