Elizabeth (Liz) Aslanidis, Managing Director, joined our agency in 2004, and has been in her current role for the majority of her tenure.

As our Managing Director, Liz is responsible for overseeing the operations of our Residential, Vocational, and Shared Living programs, which includes leading the organizations, strategic planning, and fiscal oversight. In addition, she is our main liaison with the State of Connecticut Department of Developmental Services (DDS) as well as other agencies providing similar services.

The challenges Liz experiences in her role are significant and can have potential impacts on the quality and accessibility of support provided to the Individuals in our care. But Liz’s level of expertise and commitment to our agency and team along with the rewards of seeing our Individuals thrive and live their best lives, far outweigh the struggle. She believes “it's crucial for others to understand the work we do isn't just a job—it's a calling rooted in empathy, compassion, and a deep sense of purpose.”

Liz has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern Connecticut State University. Her firsthand experience in program management, staff supervision, regulatory compliance, and community engagement has not only made her an expert in the Human Services field, as well as DDS, but has also provided her with valuable insights into the needs and challenges Individuals with developmental disabilities face so she can ensure our agency provides significant and sustainable long-term support.

Liz enjoys spending time with her family and friends, including her husband and her daughters, and is a proud volunteer for her children’s schools and her church. She enjoys traveling and making memories with loved ones.
