For the past 25 years and counting, Stacy has been our Managing Director of Clinical and Nursing Services, overseeing all clinical, behavioral, nursing, and psychiatric services for our agency. Her passion to empower people to see their self-worth and live their best lives, can be seen throughout her work. Whether she is assisting in attracting and retaining team members, training employees, or finding unique ways to recognize and reward exemplary efforts, Stacy ensures everyone knows how impactful they can be in another’s life. Understanding what we do, why we do it, and who we do it for, is at the core of her beliefs.
When asked, Stacy noted her greatest accomplishment during her tenure has been her constant and consistent presence in the lives of the Individuals we serve, as well as being their advocate. She is proud to be part of teaching them new ways of coping when dealing with difficult or distressing situations and helping them learn and use adaptive ways of functioning.
Stacy began her work in the Human Services field in high school, working in convalescent homes and hospitals. She received her Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Southern Connecticut State University and her Master of Social Work from Fordham University. In addition to her role at our agency, she also provides private therapy.
Stacy is most passionate about her love and commitment to God, her family, friends, and her church, where she is an Elder as well as previously supporting Youth and Children’s Ministry. She loves to be active with her family and friends, loves to garden and read, and most recently has begun taking tennis lessons.
Empathy is the most important core attribute to me because it gives me and others the ability to understand another person’s emotions, feelings, situations, and in turn, how to respond. Having empathy also leads us to feel concern for another’s well-being.
My why is our greatest commandment; Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength and love your neighbor as yourself.
