At the core of our Shared Living organization is the belief that family and home are the foundation of support and inclusivity, respecting the dignity and preferences of every Individual. Our team is committed to managing a variety of options through the State of Connecticut Department of Developmental Services (DDS), designed to meet the unique needs of individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and those on the Autism Spectrum, including Community Companion Homes (CCH).
Community Companion Homes (CCH) provide Individuals the opportunity to thrive in a family-oriented environment when living with their own families is not possible. Through thoughtful matching, individuals are paired with licensed provider families who offer a supportive and nurturing home. Within these environments, individuals can build meaningful relationships, share responsibilities, and grow their independence. Beyond opening their homes, CCH providers deliver personalized care and services to meet each Individual’s specific needs, ensuring a compassionate and empowering living experience.
Our Shared Living department is small with limited dedicated resources and several shared resources from some of our other departments/teams.
